That's right, we have the chance to cut some new trail at Halpat, and even re-open some old ones we haven't been able to ride in a long time!

Anyone who rides Halpat has heard the complaints about how the trail is not well enough marked, well guess what, we can install more markers provided by the county!

Miss the old ridge section? Well guess what, there's a new one that needs to be intergrated into the main trail!

Miss the old Lake trails? We have permission to use parts of them to finally create a complete loop of legal, approved trails!

The County see's the benifits the mtb trails bring to the Park, and they have even offered to help us with some supplies to get the trail in shape. We have received several generous donations from the sponsors who will appear on the 2010 jerseys that will allow us to purchase additional trail tools and supplies. None of that will really do any good if there's nobody to cut the new trails or maintain the existing ones.

If you've ridden Halpat recently you can see just how fast and fun the trail can be. The trail has NEVER been this well trimmed-and this is the work of just 2 or 3 people! Imagine if we had 10, or 15 people doing that kind of work!

I will be out there this Saturday around noon to flag(and if anyone else shows cut) some of the new trails and connectors.

If we want new trails, or even keep the existing ones, its time to get off our butts and do some work!
